Macadamia - Afrimac

Afrimac Nut Company Limited was incorporated in 2011 primarily to engage in agro-food processing and more particularly to explore the untapped opportunity that existed in the Kenyan macadamia nut market.

The company began with a modest processing facility in Thika, Kiambu county. Over the years, the company has grown and has relocated to a state of the art facility that is located in Maragua, Muranga County. There we support and educate farmers to adhere to sustainability and environmental friendly farming practices that supportone of our goal to a better earth. We also give equal opportunity to our workers, meaning a larger percentage of our labour workers are women. 

Our standerd shipping handling is as follows (Unless agreed otherwise and confirmed in writting), 

- All shipping shall be FOB both Air and Ocean freight.

- Cost of Ocean or Airfreight is paid by the buyer. 

- The seller will be responsible for the shipment at the country of origin, and shall cover all the costs of local transportation, customs fees, any certification e.g phytosanitary, etc, until the shipment is handed over to the Carrier.  When handover has successfully been completed, the seller will send all original shipping documents by email (certified) or/and DHL within 24 hours.

- The Buyer is responsible for the shipment after it is handed over by the seller to the Carrier, hence FOB terms. The buyer will cover the costs of insurance if they wish to insure the goods on transit. 

- Estimated delivery time is: Ocean freight is 28-35 days, Airfreight 3-5 days.

Samples Shipping & Handling

- The seller will cover the cost of sending the samples including, shipping, local transportation at country of origin, customs handling and any other relevant costs.

However,  the buyer takeover responsibility when the samples at the country of destination. The buyer shall cover the costs of customs clearance and courier at the said country of destination.
